Classes and Education

The San Diego Beekeeping Society is an educational non profit.

We have monthly in person meetings every second Monday of the month at the Nobel Recreation Center and all are welcome to attend. We are also a great resource online for beekeeping knowledge and we can help connect you to the correct beekeeping specialists you are looking for.

We have recognized that we can do a better job of education with in person 'hands on hives' days run by the society. These are sponsored events organized by our board. Then we also have a list of people who provide beekeeping classes for adults, groups and also children. Please have a look at the list to find what suits you best and don't hesitate to reach out and ask questions. We are here to help educate the public and inform better beekeeping practice.

The more you know

There is a big crossover for our listed beekeepers who teach children and adults. We have posted first those who specialize in children's education to make it easier to navigate but everyone does adult education too. Please if in doubt ask and explore their websites and take a look at the classes on offer.
