San Diego Beekeeping Society

Our Mission

Promoting Best Beekeeping Practices and Bee Conservation

The San Diego Beekeeping Society is a community-based group that serves as a resource to local beekeepers, promotes best beekeeping practices, and supports stewardship of our honey and native bee populations through educational meetings and events. We are dedicated to fostering a supportive network for bee enthusiasts and advocating for the well-being of bees in San Diego.

Membership Benefits

Become a member today!

Cost (Annually)

$25 for individuals

$35 for families

Term

Membership is from January 1 to December 31 of the year that you join. Dues paid in Oct - Dec will count towards the next year.

Beekeeping Education

  • Monthly educational meetings with speakers throughout the beekeeping industry (research, commercial, backyard beekeepers, educators, and more).

  • Pre-meeting 30-minute question and answer session

  • Access to our reference library

  • Discounted hourly rate for one-on-one mentorship in my apiary or yours with Denise Bienias, SDBS President
